If you're serious about skewer-based barbecue, these Precision Skewers MK2 are a must-have.

Individually forged and blackened by hand, they're slimmer than our Broad Skewers and designed for smaller cut chicken, fish, vegetables and smaller cuts of meat. The narrow profile allows for greater marinade coverage while helping ingredients cook more quickly and evenly.

Why use steel skewers?

Steel conducts heat directly into the centre of the food, helping it cook faster and more evenly than traditional wooden skewers.

Unlike bamboo skewers, they won't burn, splinter or need soaking before use. They're reusable, durable and built to last hundreds of years.

How long do chicken skewers take on a barbecue?

We've found that chicken thigh cut into roughly 3cm pieces typically takes around 10–12 minutes over a medium-high charcoal fire.

Turn every 2–3 minutes until cooked through. The steel skewer helps transfer heat directly into the centre of the meat, reducing cooking time and promoting more even cooking.

Care

These skewers are made from blackened steel.

Wash after use, dry thoroughly and store somewhere dry. An occasional wipe with cooking oil will help maintain the finish and keep them looking their best.
